This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Create and develop tailored WordPress themes and templates that align with the branding and marketing objectives of clients.
• Collaborate with the digital marketing team to grasp client needs and design projects effectively.
• Ensure that websites are visually striking, user-friendly, and optimized for mobile devices.
• Update and maintain current WordPress websites.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement features requested by clients.
• Conduct routine website administration tasks.
• Partner with the development team to seamlessly integrate designs with back-end code.
• Develop custom PHP functionalities to enhance user personalization and notifications.
• Create custom data integrations via APIs and present data in a user-friendly format.
• A minimum of a 2-year Associate's degree in web design, graphic design, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in designing websites using WordPress.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience in creating responsive and adaptive designs.
• A solid understanding of industry trends and best practices in WordPress website design.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Must be physically located in the Eastern Standard Time Zone or Central Time Zone.
• Required to submit a resume, cover letter, and relevant portfolio.
• Sponsorship is not available.
• Strong aesthetic judgement with the ability to convert designs into visually appealing and user-friendly websites.
• Expertise in WordPress, particularly in custom theme and template design.
• Familiarity with debugging tools like Firebug or Chrome Inspector.
• In-depth knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Git or SVN is preferred.
• Ability to comprehend the effects of CSS modifications across various platforms and browsers.
• Experience with the WordPress block editor and the capacity to create custom blocks and patterns.
• Capability to develop custom PHP-based functionalities.
• Experience in working with custom data integrations using APIs.
• Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and keep up-to-date with industry developments.
• Experience with Figma or similar design tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with a diverse range of page builders is preferred.
