Freelance Real Estate Law Clerk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee residential refinance cases from initiation to completion and reporting.

• Review and satisfy the requirements and instructions of institutional lenders.

• Generate closing documents, statements of adjustments, payout statements, and reporting packages.

• Perform title searches and other necessary inquiries.

• Collaborate with clients, lenders, brokers, and other legal professionals to ensure efficient and prompt closings.

• Maintain precise electronic file documentation and adhere to established processes.

• Identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency and contribute to an improved client experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a residential real estate law clerk, particularly in refinance.

• Proven experience managing institutional mortgage refinance transactions from beginning to end.

• Strong knowledge of lender requirements and closing procedures.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.

• Comfortable working autonomously in a technology-centric, process-oriented environment.

• Ability to quickly adapt and follow established workflows while seeking areas for improvement.
