This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conducting translations, reviews, and quality assurance (QA) for Nepali-Nepal translation tasks.
• Executing copy-editing and linguistic checks to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style.
• Offering feedback to translators and freelancers to enhance overall quality.
• Overseeing and updating language assets (glossaries, style guides, work instructions) to ensure they remain accurate, consistent, and current.
• Handling and addressing linguistic inquiries from translators, project managers, and others.
• Facilitating smooth collaboration within the translation team by clarifying terminology, style, and linguistic matters.
• Assisting in the onboarding, development, and training of new linguists and freelancers as needed.
• Engaging in the development of new and enhanced review and quality processes.
• Meeting or surpassing quality and productivity KPIs as outlined for the position.
• Fulfilling the objectives set by the Squad Lead / Language Lead.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in translation, review, or localization.
• Native proficiency in Nepali-Nepal.
• Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
• Strong comprehension of the localization process and review workflows.
• Competent in standard software applications (Windows, MS Office).
• Practical experience with CAT tools (e.g., XTM, SDL Studio, Polyglot, Mate Cat, ATMS, fbCAT, etc.) and query/issue management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new localization tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail with outstanding review and editing abilities.
• Skill in providing clear, concise, and constructive feedback to linguists.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of terminology management in one or more subject areas.
• Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage diverse linguistic challenges.
• Willingness and capability to train and mentor others as necessary.
