Freelance Italian Linguist – IT & Software Project

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Execute Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) for Italian content.

• Provide human translation services as needed on occasion.

• Evaluate and modify translated material for linguistic precision, fluency, coherence, and naturalness.

• Engage with IT and software-related content while adhering to project-specific guidelines and terminology.

• Collaborate on long-term international localization projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Italian at a native level.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a linguist, translator, or MTPE specialist.

• Demonstrated experience in IT/software localization.

• Strong command of Italian grammar, style, and terminology.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to ensure consistency across extensive volumes of content.

• Capacity to work independently and adhere to agreed deadlines.

• Familiarity with CAT tools and localization processes is highly preferred.
