Freelance Fashion Designer – Socks, Accessories

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Ideate and create innovative sock designs for VON JUNGFELD's seasonal ranges.

• Generate patterns, motifs, color schemes, and commercially appealing product concepts.

• Interpret current fashion, lifestyle, and color trends into a unique design language that aligns with the brand.

• Formulate collection themes and design ideas in close collaboration with our creative and product teams.

• Design across various product categories, including classic socks, statement socks, sports socks, and seasonal styles.

• Create production-ready design files, color variations, and technical illustrations.

• Draft clear design specifications and briefs for our production partners.

• Modify designs to fit the technical requirements and capabilities of knit manufacturing.

• Revise and enhance designs based on sample feedback.

• Assist in the continuous development of our color palettes, signature motifs, and recurring design themes.

• Optional: Create additional textile accessories or small product micro-collections.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree or vocational training in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Fashion, or a similar qualification.

• Several years of hands-on experience in developing fashion, textile, or accessory collections.

• Strong awareness of color, pattern, materials, and commercially relevant trends.

• Ideally, experience in designing socks, knitwear, jacquard patterns, or textile accessories.

• Understanding of the technical specifications and constraints of knitted products.

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Experience in creating technical drawings, design specifications, and production-ready files.

• Capability to develop creative yet commercially viable products for diverse target audiences.

• Independent, organized, and dependable working style.

• Enjoy collaborative and straightforward teamwork within a small group.

• Proficient in German or English, with very good language skills.
