Freelance Copywriter, German, B2B Communities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop content that offers clarity, inspiration, and value to decision-makers who speak German.

• Generate content that attracts new members and encourages leaders to engage actively in the community.

• Create LinkedIn posts aimed at senior professionals.

• Compose LinkedIn and email newsletters.

• Craft in-depth articles and case studies based on expert interviews.

• Prepare show notes for podcasts, including episode titles and descriptions.

• Develop interview guides that include agendas and key questions.

• Write follow-up posts for events in various cities and communities.

• Produce short-form content for WhatsApp and unique formats like playbooks.

• Utilize podcast recordings, interview transcripts, and insights from events as material sources.

• Employ Claude or ChatGPT for research, drafting, structuring, and preparing transcripts.

• Engage directly with customers for specific deliverables, collect feedback and approvals, and integrate them.

• Collaborate with the Content Coordinator and the Content Team.

• Format, publish, and schedule content using company tools.

• Track content performance and assist in strategy formulation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in German is essential.

• Proficiency in English at least at B2 level, ideally C1.

• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a copywriter or content writer is required.

• Experience in B2B or digital media is preferred.

• A portfolio showcasing German-language texts in various formats, including LinkedIn posts, newsletters, and long-form content, is mandatory.

• Experience writing for a professional or executive audience is a significant advantage.

• Basic knowledge of on-page SEO is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Claude or ChatGPT, Google Workspace, ClickUp, Canva, Slack, and a CMS like Sanity is a plus.

• Capability to identify and enhance AI-generated text.

• Ability to format effectively and deliver content that is ready for publication.

• Dependable, organized, proactive, and capable of managing deadlines independently.

• Ability to adhere to community-specific guidelines for CTAs, links, tagging, and language logic.

• Strong understanding of tone and audience.

• Detail-oriented and open to feedback.

• Must provide a German application, CV, a brief cover letter, a writing portfolio with German samples from at least two formats, hourly rate expectations, and weekly availability.

• Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a brief writing test.
