Freelance Animator, GFX Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop, visualize, and design special effects, animations, or other visual elements for client videos (including explainer, promotional, and interview formats)

• Create animated graphics that range from lower thirds, logos, and bumpers to complete productions

• Revise and enhance existing motion graphics assets

• Collaborate with clients and team members on creative direction and project deliverables

• Handle multiple projects of varying complexities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure

• Work remotely and deliver final assets, utilizing screen recording when necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Film, or a related discipline is preferred

• Over 5 years of experience in multimedia design, motion graphics, video editing, and animation

• A reel or portfolio showcasing work to illustrate skills and competencies is required

• Strong foundational understanding of layout, color theory, grids, icons, typography, proportions, photography, and motion/rich media

• Proficient in After Effects, Cinema 4D, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop

• Must possess a Mac or Windows-based PC or laptop

• Capability to use screen recording software such as Camtasia

• Experience working with After Effects templates and creating custom graphics

• Proven experience producing content that appeals to a broad audience

• Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexities, meet deadlines, and maintain performance under pressure

• Self-driven with a keen eye for quality and design

• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
