Fraud Prevention Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Proactively monitor transaction queues and high-risk incidents to identify, intercept, and mitigate fraudulent purchases in real time.

• Assess high-risk orders and promptly make accurate decisions to approve or cancel them.

• Contribute to the maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of fraud analysis models, rule sets, and decision engines.

• Investigate evolving transaction patterns, emerging threat vectors, and industry trends to reveal concealed fraud networks.

• Examine chargeback data and reinforce fraud prevention regulations.

• Take charge of daily queue prioritization and handle time-sensitive tasks during periods of heightened fraud activity.

• Relay investigative results, technical evidence, and emerging risk trends to the fraud team.

• Analyze data anomalies, device metadata, and transaction inconsistencies to identify root causes.

• Handle sensitive customer information and inquiries related to flagged orders.

• Aid in the development and upkeep of loss prevention policies, detection controls, and standard operating procedures.

• Uphold confidentiality, security, and compliance regarding customer, venue, and company data.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–4+ years of direct experience in e-commerce fraud prevention, particularly in live event ticketing, entertainment, or digital venue settings.

• In-depth knowledge of fraud related to live event ticketing.

• Capacity to make rapid, precise order decisions under tight deadlines.

• Skills to independently manage and prioritize daily tasks.

• Ability to analyze complex investigation data and present actionable insights.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Flexibility to work remotely during evenings, weekends, or holidays in accordance with live event schedules, peak sales, and sudden spikes in fraud.

• Familiarity with Accertify, Kount, Riskified, or similar specialized risk engines.
