This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership of interaction patterns throughout the product.
• Ensure that similar issues are addressed uniformly.
• Minimize inconsistencies as new modules are integrated.
• Prevent UX drift while multiple PMs and teams are working simultaneously.
• Collaborate within existing products.
• Conduct audits of current applications and patterns.
• Recognize what is functioning well and should be retained.
• Promote convergence—avoiding redesigns that lack purpose.
• Specify the usage of PrimeNG components (tables, forms, filters, modals).
• Ensure strict adherence to Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
• Prevent web/Android patterns from infiltrating iOS.
• Enforce the use of native navigation, gestures, and controls.
• Prioritize platform correctness over internal consistency when conflicts arise.
• Review version 0 prototypes and initial implementations.
• Provide prompt, informed feedback.
• Assist PMs in evaluating UX trade-offs.
• Establish clear boundaries within which PMs can operate confidently.
• Must possess a Senior-level background in product or systems design.
• Experience with internal or enterprise-level applications is essential.
• Strong systems thinking ability; comfortable with defining rules and constraints.
• In-depth familiarity with iOS as a platform (beyond just mobile UI).
• Comfortable challenging PMs and confidently saying “don’t ship that.”
• Pragmatic, opinionated, and not overly attached to visuals.
• Strong plus: experience in refining inconsistent products.
• Familiarity with component-based design systems is preferred.
• Experience collaborating directly with engineers.
• Previous fractional or advisory roles are advantageous.
• Competitive hourly rate for Senior, Fractional roles.
