This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Oversee the general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting tasks.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and uphold robust internal controls.
• Coordinate and manage annual audits as well as external accounting partnerships.
• Transition responsibilities from the existing Accounting Manager.
• Enhance and broaden our utilization of Rillet.
• Spot opportunities to automate repetitive accounting and reporting tasks.
• Improve integrations among accounting, payroll, banking, billing, and other operational systems.
• Shorten closing timelines while enhancing accuracy and visibility.
• Assess and implement effective AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
• Develop KPI dashboards and ongoing financial reports.
• Conduct variance analyses and communicate significant business trends.
• Collaborate with department leaders to enhance financial decision-making.
• Design scalable finance processes that support the company’s growth objectives.
• Document workflows and strengthen internal controls.
• Help lay the groundwork for a modern, technology-driven finance organization.
• 6–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
• Proven experience in owning or leading the monthly closing process.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Passionate about enhancing systems and reducing manual tasks.
• Naturally inquisitive about AI, automation, and contemporary finance technologies.
• Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to balance meticulous attention to detail with strategic thinking.
• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in AI, SaaS, venture-backed startups, or rapidly growing companies is advantageous.
• Experience in implementing or optimizing financial systems is highly regarded.
