Fractional CFO – 6 Month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of capital strategy and refine the equity narrative, which includes non-equity facilities.

• Manage pre-emptive funding and oversee inbound investor relations, including data room, metrics narrative, and investor-grade reporting.

• Lead the preparation for tax and Big Four audits.

• Oversee the operational establishment of the team's US entity in preparation for our Texas launch, encompassing legal, tax, banking, and reporting aspects.

• Develop revenue strategy and facilitate platform growth for the third-party infrastructure model.

• Manage ERP integration and the dissemination of financial information to key stakeholders.

• Engage with an AI-driven finance framework; while most team structuring is addressed, your role will involve adding the judgment layer.

• Ensure the function is left in a better state than found, with systems, processes, and reporting that a permanent CFO can inherit from day one.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a CFO (or in a similar role) at a venture-backed scale-up, with involvement in Series B+ investment discussions and a leading role in at least one capital raise.

• Practical experience in capital strategy, encompassing equity narrative, investor relations, and non-equity or debt facilities.

• Familiarity with international entity setups, preferably in the US, and comfortable managing legal, tax, and banking workstreams.

• Proven ownership of ERP and financial systems; you have experience building or improving information flows rather than merely using them.

• Availability for 3 days a week over a period of 6 months, with the ability to start promptly.

• Experience in complex commodities, energy, or regulated markets is a plus. (Bonus points)

• Knowledge of risk management, including structuring, levers, and storytelling to investors. (Bonus points)

• Familiarity with AI-native finance team structuring; while much of this is already in place, your role will be to refine it rather than create it from scratch. (Bonus points)
