FP&A Product Lead, Financial Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• You will lead the strategic direction for this domain while collaborating closely with Product Managers across Tempo’s ecosystem application portfolio whose initiatives overlap with yours.

• You will engage directly with engineering and design teams from the initial problem definition to the delivery of features, ensuring minimal handoff and maximum ownership. We utilize AI collaboratively throughout our processes to enhance communication and speed up delivery.

• You will define the role of Tempo Financial Manager in assisting organizations with project budget management, budget allocation across initiatives, tracking actuals against plans, and making real-time tradeoff decisions all within their strategic planning framework.

• Specifically, you will oversee: the product strategy and roadmap for Financial Manager’s budgeting, cost, and billing functionalities.

• Conduct discovery sessions with CFOs, FP&A leaders, and finance business partners to understand the flow of budget authority within a modern enterprise.

• Explore how Financial Manager links portfolio investment decisions to financial plans, including scenario modeling, threshold governance, and continuous forecasting.

• Maintain a close partnership with Tempo’s integrations team to connect Financial Manager with ERP and financial systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, and others).

⛳️ Requirements

• Domain expertise: 4–8 years of experience in enterprise finance, FP&A, ERP implementation, or financial systems consulting. You understand what a rolling forecast truly requires and what the CFO expects during the QBR.

• Organizational knowledge: practical experience in how organizations budget for large programs, including the trade-offs between cost centers, headcount planning, and the treatment of CapEx vs. OpEx.

• Familiarity with tools: you have experience working with or around enterprise finance or planning systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Anaplan, or similar) and are aware of their limitations.

• Interest in AI: you are already incorporating AI into your work and are thoughtfully considering its implications for enterprise planning, financial forecasts, and budgets.

• Ability to handle complexity: finance workflows are exacting and highly opinionated. You can navigate through complexity to produce clear, structured outputs for executive audiences.

• Effective communication: you can craft a concise one-pager that garners alignment without necessitating a meeting.

• Naturally collaborative: you share plans and changes early because, in a system like Loop, few decisions are truly isolated.
