FP&A Manager

📋 Description

• Oversee the financial statement reporting and forecasting for both the department and the entire company, focusing on topline revenue metrics, resource allocation, headcount, and operational expenditure management, with particular emphasis on key R&D functions.

• Act as a financial business partner to the R&D division, managing departmental headcount, budget, and the development and tracking of significant critical metrics to assess efficiencies and conduct return on investment analyses.

• Collaborate closely with the CFO, VP of FP&A, CTO, and VP of Product planning teams on budget strategy and maintenance, aligning technical roadmap objectives with budgetary goals.

• Take ownership of the comprehensive company cost of revenue forecast, working alongside the Engineering FinOps team to connect platform performance and optimization with their financial implications.

• Facilitate and drive the creation of presentations for the Board of Directors, executive dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Develop executive review materials that consolidate and articulate financial and operational strategies.

• Conduct account-level variance analysis that generates business insights and highlights financial risks and opportunities, presenting these findings to senior management.

• Continuously enhance and develop existing FP&A processes.

• Create repeatable business, operational, and financial processes in close partnership with the accounting team to pinpoint key areas for improvement to maximize efficiency.

• Execute and support ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests while assisting with corporate initiatives and reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 4 years of prior experience in an FP&A role within a public or pre-IPO SaaS company, public accounting firm, management consulting, or investment banking, with direct experience in a software company.

• Exceptional quantitative and financial modeling skills, with a high level of proficiency in Excel, G-Suite applications, and BI tools.

• Ability to excel and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.

• Self-motivated individual who is proactive and self-directed.

• Strong project management capabilities and a proven track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving diverse team members.

• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.

• Established strong, collaborative relationships with key team members and stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.
