FP&A and Strategic Finance – Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive operating models (revenue, retention, pricing, headcount, cash flow) that serve as the definitive reference for portfolio companies.

• Create standardized financial reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and frameworks for budget-versus-actual analyses to evaluate month-on-month performance.

• Manage the quarterly forecasting process: gather inputs, reconcile actuals, stress-test assumptions, and present results to executives and investors.

• Collaborate with accounting teams to identify and resolve data quality issues at their source (chart of accounts, revenue recognition, timing discrepancies).

• Detect and rectify logical inconsistencies, circular references, and faulty assumptions in inherited models and data pipelines.

• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses on unit economics, pricing strategies, hiring ROI, and cash runway with actionable recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or other analytical corporate finance roles.

• Proficiency in advanced Excel or Google Sheets: capable of building models from scratch, linking worksheets, creating dynamic assumptions, and stress-testing scenarios.

• Strong foundation in accounting and finance: knowledgeable in accrual versus cash accounting, P&L and balance sheet structure, working capital management, and revenue recognition.

• Ability to work effectively within U.S. time zones (EST/CST) for weekly meetings and ad-hoc collaborations.

• Familiarity with SQL, Python, Looker, or Tableau for automating data extraction and constructing dashboards.

• Previous exposure to SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, net retention) or B2B unit economics.

• Knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct) or accounting software (QuickBooks).
