• Take ownership of budget versus actuals analysis for assigned business functions, providing clear variance commentary that prompts action.
• Collaborate with department heads on headcount planning, vendor expenditures, and initiative-level return on investment.
• Construct and sustain operating models, forecasts, and scenario analyses.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly closing activities, including accrual analysis, forecasting adjustments, and reporting for the board and leadership.
• Create financial models and dashboards that offer leaders real-time insights into their operations.
• Proactively identify and highlight financial risks and opportunities, rather than waiting for requests.
• Utilize AI tools and workflows to enhance the speed and quality of financial analysis.
• Aid business leaders in making significant decisions regarding the direction of their organizations.
• Minimum of 2 years in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting roles.
• Strong capabilities in financial modeling - you develop models that are practical for others to use.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with business units: converting numbers into narratives, providing constructive feedback, and influencing decisions.
• Experience in variance analysis, budget management, and closing processes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with minimal process constraints.
• AI-native mindset - you actively integrate AI into financial workflows and consider its application in analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Preferred: Background in a high-growth B2B SaaS or fintech company, or experience at a large accounting firm.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Rillet, Ramp, or Abacum (or similar modern finance tools).
• Preferred: Experience with business intelligence tools such as Sigma.
• Preferred: Proficiency in SQL.
