Founding Protocol Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design and develop essential components of the Prover Network.

• Enhance communication between clients and GPUs as well as the consensus protocol.

• Collaborate closely with Dr. Rao on the design aspects and lead the implementation efforts.

• Contribute to shaping the protocol and the team as an early member.

• Establish a technical standard for the Prover Network.

• Share innovative ideas and expertise to facilitate the platform's evolution.

• Address complex challenges in a fast-changing problem landscape.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of protocol engineering principles.

• Proficiency in Rust (approximately 4 years), with a strong grasp of advanced topics such as generics, lifetimes, memory management, concurrency, etc.

• Experience with advanced benchmarking and testing frameworks (e.g., property-based testing, fuzzing).

• Ability to work independently on ambiguous problems.

• A solid sense of responsibility and comfort with working autonomously.

• Nice-To-Have: Interest in blockchain systems based on zero-knowledge proofs.

• Experience in writing smart contracts.

• Understanding of cryptographic fundamentals, including hash functions and finite fields.

• A passion for open-source software and a desire to learn.

• A strong interest in privacy matters.
