This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the creation and upkeep of digital infrastructure for the Awards and Stars programs.
• Manage databases, dashboards, application systems, parent portals/websites, and bespoke software tools.
• Evaluate and enhance existing infrastructure while developing new tools from user-needs analysis to testing, launch, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with outreach and program teams to grasp use cases, workflows, and requirements.
• Sustain and enhance CRM systems for monitoring outreach, applicants, and participants in the Stars program.
• Guarantee that relevant data is recorded and cleaned with minimal friction.
• Create internal dashboards and tools to assist teams in comprehending and acting on crucial information.
• Conduct user research involving team members and participant families.
• Design, develop, and maintain family-oriented tools such as applicant portals, parent portals, budget utilization trackers, and STEM pathways/badging.
• Integrate custom builds with CRM databases, email management systems, and pertinent partner tools.
• Establish an AI-first software development team.
• Assist departments in recognizing and implementing high-impact automation and AI applications.
• Lead training sessions related to technology, knowledge sharing, and change management.
• Develop tools, wrappers, and custom connectors to facilitate organization-wide AI usage as necessary.
• Recruit, manage, and nurture a small in-house end-to-end design and development team.
• Select and oversee contractors as required.
• Collaborate with the executive team and Board to shape the strategy for National Math Stars.
• Design and develop software while functioning as a player-coach.
• Extensive experience in building software from start to finish, from needfinding to production deployment.
• Proven track record of integrating AI into development processes while emphasizing privacy and security.
• Previous experience in people management.
• Capacity to understand stakeholder needs through thorough user research and active listening.
• Proficiency in developing software solutions from the ground up, encompassing user research, product design, development, testing, and launch.
• Experience as a software architect, creating frameworks for high-quality code in an AI-enhanced collaborative development environment.
• Ability to identify and execute process and systems enhancements.
• Experience in advocating for and educating teams on automation and AI applications.
• Competent people manager with high standards for hiring and team performance.
• Familiarity with customizing and maintaining databases/CRM systems is preferred but not mandatory.
• U.S. work authorization is required.
• National Math Stars is currently unable to support visa applications.
