Chief Technology Officer – EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical advisor for customers within the Solutions Engineering team.

• Cultivate relationships with CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, and other technical decision-makers in Fortune 500 companies.

• Engage in executive briefings, architecture assessments, strategic workshops, and high-level customer meetings.

• Deliver technical guidance throughout the sales process, focusing on architectural discussions, competitive analysis, and executive decision-making.

• Assist in strategic initiatives by enhancing technical alignment, mitigating execution risks, and fostering customer trust.

• Develop standardized technical approaches, executive communications, reference architectures, and technical guides for the global Solutions Engineering team.

• Mentor senior Solutions Engineers to elevate the team's technical and consultative skills.

• Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Solutions Engineering Leadership, and Enablement on technological trends, opportunities, and organizational investments.

• Create enablement programs addressing emerging technologies and evolving customer needs.

• Relay customer feedback, competitive insights, and implementation experiences to Product and Engineering leadership.

• Shape product roadmaps, validate new capabilities, and aid early customer adoption initiatives.

• Convert market trends into product and go-to-market strategies.

• Represent 1Password at conferences, executive gatherings, customer advisory boards, analyst briefings, and industry events.

• Establish thought leadership through presentations, blogs, webinars, whitepapers, and executive content.

• Enhance 1Password's standing in the market with customers, analysts, strategic partners, and the security community.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in enterprise technology, cybersecurity, consulting, solutions engineering, enterprise architecture, or technical leadership.

• Proven track record of influencing executive technology leaders within Fortune 500 organizations.

• Extensive knowledge in identity and access management, privileged access, cloud security, developer platforms, SaaS security, or AI security.

• Outstanding executive communication skills with the ability to convert complex technical concepts into business results.

• Capacity to distill intricate technical concepts into engaging executive narratives.

• Established ability to influence enterprise architecture decisions across large and multifaceted organizations.

• Experience in supporting strategic enterprise sales initiatives and collaborating with executive sales teams.

• Strong grasp of enterprise purchasing processes and contemporary sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC.

• Background in developing technical strategies, reusable methodologies, or scalable customer engagement frameworks.

• Ability to shape product strategy through customer interactions and market insights.

• Capacity to forge trusted relationships across Product, Engineering, Sales, and executive leadership while influencing without direct authority.

• Experience addressing diverse audiences at industry conferences, executive forums, and analyst events.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
