Founding Engineer, Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Contribute to and develop expertise in Breadboard’s software and infrastructure.

• Implement and deploy new features into production environments.

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the global electronics supply chain.

• Take ownership of larger initiatives, provide constructive feedback to founders, and deliver value to customers.

• Design and create modular systems that balance structure with adaptability.

• Introduce software development methodologies that enhance engineer productivity.

• Mentor junior engineers as the team expands.

• Identify and embrace new responsibilities as they arise.

• Collaborate with the CTO to establish the foundation for the electronics supply chain operating system.

• Help shape the engineering culture, expand the team, and recruit new engineers.

• Engage in architectural decisions, recruitment, and organizational development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in architecting, developing, testing, and launching web applications end-to-end.

• A self-motivated and quick learner who thrives in ambiguous situations and tackles complex problems.

• Proficient in React as well as modern backend frameworks such as NestJS.

• Experience with relational databases, preferably Postgres.

• Familiarity with cloud-native software development, ideally on AWS.

• Capable of applying best practices in software engineering (testing, lean development, SOLID principles, code reviews).
