Founding Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop the initial version of the product from start to finish, encompassing initial architectural choices to delivering to actual customers.

• Engage directly with users of the product and assist in defining the technical direction and roadmap alongside the founding CEO.

• Set up the technical foundations, tools, and engineering practices to support future team expansion.

• Collaborate across product development, sales, customer service, and other departments as required.

• Establish engineering practices and a culture that will evolve as the team grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive experience in generalist engineering.

• Proven track record of building and launching real products.

• Ideally, experience as one of the early engineering hires (employee #1–10) at a startup or in a similar 0-to-1 role.

• Ability to navigate seamlessly across the technology stack and learn rapidly.

• Skill in executing effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous settings.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a comfort in working closely with customers.

• Ownership mentality and a resourceful approach to tasks.

• Capability to make swift, well-considered technical decisions that balance immediate speed with long-term sustainability.

• Proficiency in utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
