Forward-Deployed Product Manager – FDPM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collect and Clarify Requirements

• Collaborate directly with clients to comprehend their business needs and challenges

• Convert those needs into well-defined, prioritized requirements for engineering teams

• Manage the Client Relationship

• Serve as the primary point of contact for client-oriented discussions during onboarding, scoping, and delivery stages

• Actively oversee expectations, timelines, and feedback channels.

• Assist Internal Teams

• Provide context and clarity to engineers to facilitate seamless delivery. Ensure consistency between what was requested, what’s being developed, and what’s being delivered.

• Establish Repeatable Patterns

• Recognize recurring client demands and assist in formalizing templates, documentation, or processes to enhance future deployments.

• Aid in refining internal handoff processes, requirement intake, and communication strategies.

• Influence the Product Roadmap

• Synthesize recurring customer insights into strategic themes, prioritize impactful features, and propose a data-driven roadmap that furthers Tailor’s vision.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Software Company

• Prior experience in a SaaS, ERP, or composable software environment is preferred, particularly with a grasp of modular solutions, low-code platforms, or customer-centric software implementations.

• Over 5 years of experience in product management, solutions, customer success, or consulting roles with significant client interaction

• Demonstrated capacity to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Outstanding communication skills — you can simplify and clarify complex concepts.

• An organized, structured thinker capable of minimizing ambiguity

• Technically proficient enough to collaborate with engineers and ask pertinent questions

• Residing in or willing to frequently be present in Los Angeles. Approximately 20% travel required.

• Travel expectations are between 15-20%
