Forward Deployed Engineer, Ecosystem

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and prototype integrations between partner products and the Nebius platform — quick, practical, and technically proficient.

• Establish reference architectures for partner integrations — focusing not only on functionality but also on scalability and production readiness.

• Evaluate partner architectures in relation to our platform — understanding how the product interacts with our stack, where it connects, and where it encounters issues.

• Develop production-grade proof-of-concepts throughout the AI stack, including agentic pipelines, RAG architectures, inference optimization strategies, and multi-model orchestration.

• Create functional proof-of-concepts that act as a foundation for product development — not merely a requirements document, but a tangible working model.

• Maintain a repository of reference architectures and integration patterns for internal product and engineering teams to utilize.

• Collaborate closely with partner engineering teams to define, prototype, and advance integrations.

• Evaluate partner architectures objectively — if an integration is challenging, that’s a signal; if it comes together within a weekend, that’s also a signal; report both scenarios.

• Offer technical advice to partners on optimizing performance, reliability, and cost efficiency on Nebius infrastructure.

• Create technical scopes that provide your pod partner and internal teams with a clear understanding of integration feasibility, depth, and complexity.

• Convert external integration insights into actionable product requirements for Nebius platform teams.

• Collaborate with ISV partners, SI teams, and field teams to enhance solution adoption and generate revenue once a solution is finalized.

• Identify recurring architectural patterns and integration gaps to guide platform roadmap decisions.

• Engage in platform planning as the technical representative of your observations and developments in the field.

• Represent Nebius at hackathons, in open source communities, and during technical events.

• Build in a transparent manner — demos, reference architectures, and integrations that position Nebius as the platform of choice for serious AI developers.

• Stay updated with the AI tooling landscape — you are aware of recent advancements and their implications for our stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of practical engineering experience in AI application development, ML systems, or AI infrastructure.

• Profound understanding of the AI developer stack — LLM APIs, inference runtimes, orchestration frameworks, vector databases, RAG architectures, agentic pipelines — acquired through hands-on experience rather than mere reading.

• Practical experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.

• Strong proficiency in Python programming and the ability to quickly prototype end-to-end AI systems.

• Experience in defining reference architectures and technical patterns — going beyond mere implementation.

• Demonstrated ability to rapidly transition from concept to working prototype — you have delivered impactful projects under tight deadlines and found it invigorating.

• Experience in building integrations across APIs and developer platforms — you comprehend where the complexities reside.

• Comfortable collaborating with both external partner engineering teams and internal Nebius product and engineering teams simultaneously.

• Excellent technical communication skills — you can articulate architectural decisions and integration insights to both a founding CTO and a non-technical partner lead in the same day.
