Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage in sales meetings with clients to explain Runpod’s specialized technologies, offer architectural guidance, and develop proof-of-concept solutions to facilitate onboarding for prospective high-spending customers.

• Diagnose and resolve critical or intricate technical issues raised by customers, including those involving configuration, performance, functionality, compatibility, or coding errors related to Runpod’s products or services.

• Employ a variety of tools and techniques, such as code analysis, testing scripts, log analysis, and remote access, to identify root causes and provide solutions or alternatives.

• Effectively communicate with customers and internal teams, including engineering, sales, supply, and product management, to ensure customer satisfaction and incorporate valuable feedback.

• Support the technical support team in troubleshooting and resolving escalated technical tickets, collaborate with the engineering team to provide workarounds or bug fixes, and cooperate with the infrastructure team to resolve GPU server-related issues.

• Contribute to product development and testing initiatives by sharing feedback from customers and the support team with the engineering team, aiding in product enhancements.

• Generate and maintain technical documentation, such as knowledge base articles, FAQs, guides, and manuals, while also creating and delivering training sessions, webinars, and demonstrations for customers, partners, and internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar discipline) or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 3 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to work collaboratively.

• Familiarity with applied AI use cases such as inference, fine-tuning, LLM-based applications, or agentic systems.

• Excellent communication skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.

• Residing in the APAC region (preferably in Malaysia, Singapore, or South Korea).

• Successful completion of a background check.
