Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Engage in sales meetings with clients, articulating Runpod’s unique technologies, offering architectural guidance, and developing proof-of-concept solutions to facilitate onboarding for potential high-value customers.

• Diagnose and resolve critical or intricate technical challenges raised by customers, including those pertaining to configuration, performance, functionality, compatibility, or code errors in Runpod’s offerings.

• Employ a variety of tools and techniques, such as code analysis, testing scripts, log examination, and remote access, to pinpoint root causes and provide solutions or workarounds.

• Effectively communicate with customers and internal teams, including engineering, sales, supply chain, and product management, to ensure customer satisfaction and incorporate valuable feedback.

• Support the technical team in troubleshooting and addressing escalated technical tickets, collaborate with the engineering team to offer workarounds or bug fixes, and partner with the infrastructure team to resolve GPU server-related concerns.

• Contribute to product development and testing initiatives by conveying feedback from customers and the support team to the engineering team, aiding in the enhancement of products.

• Create and sustain technical documentation, including knowledge base articles, FAQs, guides, and manuals, while also designing and delivering training sessions, webinars, and demonstrations for customers, partners, and internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field) or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 3 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a knack for collaborative work.

• Familiarity with applied AI use cases such as inference, fine-tuning, LLM-based applications, or agentic systems.

• Exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Must reside in the US, specifically in the PST region.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.
