This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• The Forward Deployed AI Engineer is tasked with the design, development, and implementation of data and AI-driven solutions within Palantir Foundry to enhance mortgage and financial services operations.
• This position merges data engineering, ontology design, application development, and AI workflow facilitation to generate scalable, production-ready data products that boost operational efficiency, decision-making, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• The role acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, converting complex operational needs into governed, maintainable, and reusable Foundry solutions.
• Design, create, and sustain data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines within Palantir Foundry.
• Integrate data from internal systems, external vendors, data warehouses, servicing platforms, CRM systems, and financial applications.
• Ensure the integrity, lineage, reliability, observability, and performance of data across production environments.
• Implement governance measures and operational oversight for enterprise data assets.
• Create and maintain ontology models that depict mortgage and financial services business domains.
• Define business entities, relationships, and semantic structures that facilitate operational workflows and analytical use cases.
• Develop reusable, governed data products that support reporting, analytics, workflow automation, and AI applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align ontology structures with operational procedures and business goals.
• Develop applications, dashboards, operational tools, and workflow solutions based on Foundry.
• Support business activities such as loan origination, underwriting, servicing, portfolio management, risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and customer operations.
• Configure workflow actions, case management processes, exception handling tools, and decision-support applications.
• Partner with business users to pinpoint opportunities for operational enhancements and automation.
• Design and implement AI-driven workflows using Palantir AIP capabilities.
• Develop agent-based and large language model (LLM) solutions that bolster business operations and decision-making.
• Ensure AI implementations adhere to enterprise standards for governance, auditability, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and apply opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through AI-supported processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be accepted.
• 3-5 years of experience; Proven experience in implementing solutions within Palantir Foundry.
• Experience in constructing production data pipelines, data products, or enterprise applications.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python-based data engineering solutions.
• Experience in delivering projects from initial requirements to production deployment.
• Advanced understanding of Palantir Foundry platform functionalities.
• Strong skills in SQL and Python and/or PySpark.
• Knowledge of data engineering, ETL development, and data integration methodologies.
• Familiarity with relational, dimensional, and semantic data modeling techniques.
• Capability to design and execute ontology-based business solutions.
• Experience in developing enterprise applications and operational workflows.
• Robust analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking abilities.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Skill in managing multiple priorities and delivering solutions in dynamic environments.
