Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage directly with strategic enterprise clients to facilitate the adoption of AI in HR, IT, and Operations.

• Collect requirements from clients and create integration blueprints and solution architectures.

• Develop and implement production systems, including AI applications, workflow automations, and enterprise integrations.

• Configure the Leena AI platform and integrate with enterprise systems.

• Prototype custom integrations, API connectors, and automate workflows using Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

• Construct and set up AI Colleagues, Agent Operating Procedures, and Skills within client environments.

• Navigate SSO/SAML/OIDC, legacy HRIS, data residency, and IT security limitations.

• Create Solution Design Documents and identify scope gaps or technical obstacles.

• Coordinate internal engineering resources to meet non-standard requirements.

• Manage the two-week post-go-live hypercare phase and address production challenges.

• Configure HRIS, ITSM, payroll, and directory integrations utilizing REST APIs, webhooks, and Leena AI connectors.

• Develop and validate internal and client UAT test cases.

• Troubleshoot API errors, integration issues, and platform configuration challenges.

• Act as the senior technical contact during implementations, steering committees, and technical working sessions.

• Serve as a technical escalation resource for the Professional Services team.

• Communicate risks, dependencies, and blockers to project managers and leadership.

• Participate in pre-call readiness assessments.

• Create reusable integration templates, connector configurations, and self-service documentation.

• Contribute to lifecycle documentation and platform backend training resources.

• Provide platform feasibility insights to Solutions Consultants.

• Generate at least three reusable knowledge assets each quarter.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in a customer-facing engineering, professional services, or forward-deployed role.

• Demonstrated success in deploying production-grade software in enterprise client settings.

• Strong proficiency in Python with the ability to write production-quality code.

• Extensive experience with REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth 2.0, SAML/SSO, and enterprise integration strategies.

• Hands-on experience with enterprise HR or IT systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle PeopleSoft, UKG, SuccessFactors, or similar platforms.

• Capacity to handle ambiguous, fast-paced situations and deliver results without complete requirements.

• Executive presence and confidence in leading technical discussions with CIOs, IT Security teams, and senior enterprise stakeholders.

• Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth SaaS environment.

• Current understanding of enterprise AI deployment models, LLM capabilities, agentic frameworks, and integration tools.

• Experience in deploying AI/LLM-based products, agentic orchestration frameworks, or RAG-based knowledge systems.

• Background in HR tech, ITSM optimization, or enterprise automation consultancy.

• Familiarity with Leena AI’s platform, including AIC, AOPs, Skills, and the Flow Dashboard.

• Experience in developing or contributing to implementation playbooks and reusable delivery frameworks.

• Proven record of mentoring junior engineers or SCs on technical subjects.
