Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with strategic enterprise customers to enhance AI adoption in HR, IT, and Operations.

• Collect client requirements, devise integration blueprints, align stakeholders, and establish production systems.

• Set up the Leena AI platform and integrate with enterprise systems.

• Create prototypes for custom integrations, API connectors, and workflow automation using Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

• Develop and configure AI Colleagues, Agent Operating Procedures, and Skills within client environments.

• Address SSO/SAML/OIDC, legacy HRIS, data residency, and IT security constraints.

• Draft Solution Design Documents and identify scope gaps or technical obstacles.

• Coordinate internal engineering teams to meet non-standard requirements.

• Manage the two-week post-go-live hypercare phase and resolve production-related issues.

• Set up integrations with HRIS, ITSM, payroll, and directory systems utilizing REST APIs, webhooks, and Leena AI connectors.

• Configure OAuth 2.0, SAML, and API key authentication flows.

• Develop and validate internal and client UAT test cases.

• Troubleshoot API errors, integration failures, and platform configuration challenges.

• Act as the senior technical contact for enterprise clients during implementations.

• Participate in steering committees, technical working sessions, and pre-call readiness reviews.

• Offer technical escalation support to the Professional Services team.

• Communicate risks, dependencies, and blockers to project managers and leadership.

• Document reusable integration patterns, templates, connector configurations, and related documentation.

• Contribute to AIC lifecycle documentation and platform backend training resources.

• Provide platform feasibility insights to Solutions Consultants.

• Contribute a minimum of three reusable knowledge assets per quarter to the Professional Services knowledge base.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering, professional services, or forward-deployed roles.

• Demonstrated success in deploying production-grade software within enterprise client environments, beyond just sandbox settings.

• Strong command of Python and the ability to write production-quality code under real-world time constraints.

• Extensive experience with REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth 2.0, SAML/SSO, and enterprise integration patterns.

• Hands-on experience with enterprise HR or IT systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle PeopleSoft, UKG, SuccessFactors, or similar platforms.

• Capability to maneuver through ambiguous and fast-paced situations, achieving results without perfectly defined requirements.

• Executive presence and confidence in leading technical discussions with CIOs, IT Security teams, and senior enterprise stakeholders.

• Experience in a dynamic startup or high-growth SaaS setting where you established structure from ambiguity.

• Stay updated on enterprise AI deployment patterns, LLM capabilities, agentic frameworks, and integration tools.

• Experience in deploying AI/LLM-based products, agentic orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI), or RAG-based knowledge systems.

• Background in HR tech, ITSM optimization, or enterprise automation consulting.

• Familiarity with Leena AI’s platform, including AIC, AOPs, Skills, and the Flow Dashboard.

• Experience in creating or contributing to implementation playbooks and reusable delivery frameworks.

• Proven record of mentoring junior engineers or Solutions Consultants on technical concepts.
