Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Lead Client-Side Implementations: Take charge of the complete integration and deployment of the client's software solutions within their designated environments by developing custom integration layers, APIs, and wrappers.

• Architect Tailored Solutions: Create and develop customized features, data pipelines, and platform extensions that specifically cater to the client’s distinct business workflows and technical limitations.

• Act as an On-Site/On-Line Consultant: Collaborate closely with the client's internal engineering and business teams to define technical requirements, resolve complex system bottlenecks, and align on technical roadmaps.

• Bridge Client and Development Teams: Convert the client’s business challenges into clear, actionable technical specifications for your core development team, ensuring a smooth delivery process.

• Deploy & Infrastructure Management: Manage intricate enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), and hybrid systems to guarantee stable, secure, and compliant software rollouts.

• Rapid Prototyping: Construct and implement high-quality Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and MVPs to swiftly validate technical strategies and showcase value to the client’s stakeholders.

• Maintain Quality & Performance: Establish performance budgets, set up monitoring systems, and implement error-tracking mechanisms to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the solutions delivered.

• Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Perform code reviews, document system architectures, and onboard the client’s internal teams to facilitate a seamless transition of the implemented systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a robust background in Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.

• Experience with big data tools, ML/AI pipelines, or data analytics platforms (e.g., Spark, Snowflake, dbt).

• At least 2 years of customer-facing experience in a technical role (e.g., Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Integration Architecture).

• Comprehensive understanding of system design, API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), and microservices architecture.

• Practical experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Outstanding ability to convert complex, ambiguous business requirements into robust, scalable technical architectures.

• Strong database expertise (both SQL and NoSQL) and experience in optimizing data pipelines or storage solutions.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (C1 level is essential), with the capability to confidently present technical solutions to both developers and C-level executives.

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience in the FinTech or Healthcare domain.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
