This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
β’ Perform comprehensive technical assessments within selected strategic accounts to evaluate platform readiness, identify constraints, and uncover high-value adoption opportunities for GitLab and GitLab Duo Agent Platform.
β’ Lead the design and architecture delivery for intricate enterprise environments where platform migrations, regulatory requirements, and product limitations converge.
β’ Collaborate with customer stakeholders and GitLab account teams to prioritize use cases based on their business impact, technical viability, repeatability, and long-term platform benefits.
β’ Create and develop bounded proofs, prototypes, deployment patterns, and reusable accelerators across domains such as source code management, CI/CD, security, compliance, and AI-enhanced workflows.
β’ Architect self-managed and enterprise-level deployments, encompassing runners, access controls, network boundaries, observability, AI Gateway, model connectivity, and governance frameworks.
β’ Transform recurring field patterns into reusable resources, including runbooks, templates, design documentation, technical guidance, product briefs, and reference architectures applicable across multiple accounts.
β’ Contribute code, technical designs, or architectural modifications as strategically required, in collaboration with product and engineering teams, to overcome upstream challenges.
β’ Travel as required for key customer interactions, architecture workshops, and team coordination, with an anticipated travel commitment of up to 50%.
β’ Background in software engineering, platform architecture, forward-deployed engineering, technical consulting, or similar customer-oriented engineering roles.
β’ Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including the ability to read, analyze, and contribute to production systems, preferably with experience in Ruby on Rails and/or Go.
β’ Proficient in systems design and software architecture, with a track record of evaluating APIs, asynchronous workflows, CI/CD systems, security frameworks, scalability, and operational trade-offs.
β’ Practical experience with GitLab CI/CD, pipeline design, YAML, runners, and GitLab APIs.
β’ Familiarity with infrastructure as code and enterprise deployment tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar methodologies.
β’ Understanding of large language models, agentic patterns, tool orchestration, and the operational limits of AI systems in production settings.
β’ Proven history of developing reusable technical assets that extend beyond a single engagement, alongside strong written and verbal communication abilities for technical design and architectural guidance.
β’ Ability to lead discussions with senior stakeholders across security, compliance, engineering, platform, and business teams, particularly in complex enterprise situations.
