Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Sales team to execute a top-tier pre-sales strategy and secure significant deals

• Assess opportunities based on alignment, feasibility, and value

• Establish technical credibility in discussions with clients

• Convert client business objectives into technical architectures, orchestration frameworks, and methods for data access

• Analyze model selections and technical trade-offs

• Outline the engagement's scope, phases, and deliverables

• Create and present proofs of concept utilizing LLMs, databases, orchestration tools, and cloud APIs

• Connect commercial discussions with credible delivery capabilities

• Draft clear statements of work

• Develop estimates regarding effort, timelines, and pricing in collaboration with delivery leads

• Systematize the sales and scoping methodology into templates, playbooks, and repeatable processes

• Recognize and enhance bottlenecks and discrepancies from opportunity to statement of work

• Contribute to scaling the commercial function while upholding quality

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to balance the client’s viewpoint and Eliza’s business interests

• Profound knowledge of LLMs, databases, orchestration tools, and cloud APIs

• Strong discernment in selecting the appropriate model for each task

• Practical experience in building and presenting defensible proofs of concept

• Ability to work collaboratively with sales and concentrate on client ROI

• Comfort with uncertainty and the rapid pace of an early-stage company

• Previous experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or forward-deployed roles at a consulting or AI services firm is preferred

• Experience in drafting statements of work and creating estimates for effort, timeline, and pricing is preferred

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
