Forward Deployed Engineer – Agentic AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the discovery and solution development for GenAI and agentic AI projects alongside client stakeholders, users, and technical teams.

• Propel early-stage opportunities with account executives, product analysts, and technology subject matter experts (SMEs).

• Prototype solutions while defining scope, implementation roadmaps, and effort estimates.

• Transform ambiguous business challenges into validated AI solution architectures.

• Create rapid proofs of concept utilizing real or representative systems and data.

• Assess AI frameworks, platforms, and tools, such as LLMs, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, cloud AI services, and agentic tooling.

• Articulate intricate AI, architecture, and delivery concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.

• Provide support for solutions through their MVP or initial production release.

• Establish criteria for evaluating AI quality and business impact, including accuracy, groundedness, tool-call correctness, latency, cost, adoption, and workflow efficiency.

• Ensure that solutions adhere to principles of security, compliance, Responsible AI, observability, and production readiness.

• Transform field learnings into reusable solution blueprints, evaluation frameworks, and service accelerators.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experienced hands-on technical leader with a background in full-stack or server-side software engineering, transitioning into GenAI and agentic AI.

• Proven experience in designing, prototyping, and integrating systems that combine LLMs, agentic frameworks, enterprise data, and business workflows.

• Background in merging established engineering patterns with new AI capabilities to create production-ready solutions.

• Skilled in guiding teams and clients through uncertainty, prototyping quickly, and validating assumptions.

• Ability to engage with executives, product teams, operational users, and engineers effectively.

• Over 8 years of experience in IT, including substantial software design and engineering expertise.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in architecting or building GenAI or agentic AI systems.

• Familiarity with modern LLM ecosystems such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure AI, or AWS Bedrock.

• Experience in supporting presales solutioning, discovery, prototyping, or early delivery in AI projects.

• Strong grasp of LLM orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, prompt engineering, and tool-calling patterns.

• Knowledge of AI workload cost modeling, token usage, inference scaling, and hosting models.

• Proficient with AWS, Azure, or GCP and their respective AI/ML services.

• Experience leading technical discussions with both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, API design, integration patterns, and production readiness practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, containerization, observability, and DevSecOps.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

• Proficiency in English is required.
