Forward Deployed AI Engineer – Senior/Principal Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Create full-stack AI/ML applications on Cloudera to showcase how AI and agentic systems address real-world enterprise challenges.

• Collaborate closely with strategic customer teams to evolve AI and agentic use cases from initial prototypes to production-ready solutions.

• Provide guidance to customer leaders on AI roadmaps, solution architecture, deployment strategies, and applicable AI use cases.

• Standardize successful methodologies into replicable reference architectures, productized solutions, starter kits, and internal manuals.

• Serve as a thought leader, mentor Cloudera teams, and contribute resources that enhance Cloudera’s AI capabilities.

• Relay customer and field feedback to Product teams to enhance AI platforms and offerings.

• Be prepared for 25% or more business travel annually.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in building and launching production-grade systems.

• 2–4 years of experience in developing ML systems or GenAI/agentic applications.

• Strong practical skills in software engineering, data engineering, and applied AI/ML.

• Experience in constructing full-stack ML applications or agentic systems utilizing contemporary AI frameworks and tools.

• Familiarity with foundation models, context engineering, fine-tuning, semantic search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic workflows.

• In-depth knowledge of LLMOps/MLOps practices, encompassing evaluation, observability, serving, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable AI solution architectures that align with enterprise standards, including security, governance, and compliance.

• Ability to engage with both technical and executive customer stakeholders and translate their needs into actionable technical strategies.

• Capability to work independently in fast-paced, ambiguous customer environments.

• Collaborative attitude and a strong passion for mentorship, internal enablement, or reusable tools.

• BSc/MSc/PhD in a related discipline or equivalent experience.

• Willingness to travel for business 25% or more annually.

• Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Familiarity with the Cloudera platform.

• Experience with open-source big data technologies such as Spark, Iceberg, or NiFi.

• Knowledge of AI infrastructure and runtime technologies including NVIDIA GPUs, inference optimization, model serving, or distributed AI workloads.
