Forward Deployed AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive full-stack AI applications on Cloudera to illustrate how AI and autonomous systems address real-world enterprise challenges.

• Collaborate closely with customer teams to advance AI and autonomous use cases from initial prototypes to production readiness.

• Provide guidance to customer executives on AI roadmaps, prioritizing use cases, deployment considerations, and ensuring alignment of AI initiatives with business objectives.

• Systematize successful methodologies into reproducible reference architectures, productized solutions, starter kits, and internal playbooks.

• Guide Cloudera teams and contribute to resources that enhance our AI capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in developing and deploying production-level systems.

• 2-3 years of experience in creating Generative AI or autonomous applications.

• Proficient in hands-on software engineering, data engineering, and applied AI/ML skills.

• Experience in developing full-stack AI applications or autonomous systems using contemporary AI frameworks and tools.

• Familiarity with foundation models, context engineering, fine-tuning, semantic search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and autonomous workflows.

• Comprehensive understanding of LLMOps/MLOps practices including evaluation, observability, serving, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable AI solution architectures in accordance with enterprise standards (security, governance, compliance, etc.).

• Capability to engage directly with customers, addressing both technical and executive audiences.

• High degree of initiative with the ability to work independently and excel in dynamic, fast-paced customer environments.
