Forex Risk Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create and oversee the risk management framework for a newly established independent forex brokerage.

• Formulate risk policies and procedures.

• Track client and overall trading exposure.

• Set risk limits.

• Develop rules for hedging and exposure control.

• Oversee margin and leverage risk management.

• Execute risk monitoring and reporting protocols.

• Collaborate closely with senior management, compliance, finance, operations, and technology teams.

• Ensure the brokerage functions within its designated risk appetite and adheres to relevant regulatory standards.

• Conduct development of the risk framework and preparations prior to launch.

• Manage hybrid A-Book/B-Book risk.

• Monitor market risk and overall exposure.

• Oversee hedging risk and counterparty exposure.

• Manage risks related to margin, leverage, and liquidation.

• Carry out stress testing and scenario analysis.

• Perform trading surveillance and monitor for abnormal activity risks.

• Generate risk reports and assist in governance.

• Engage in cross-functional collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally, 3–5+ years of experience in market risk, forex brokerage risk management, CFD brokerage operations, or a similar financial services role.

• Proven experience in managing or designing risk controls for a retail forex or CFD brokerage.

• Strong knowledge of hybrid A-book/B-book execution models and the risks linked to internalization and external hedging.

• Practical experience with Meta Trader 4 and Meta Trader 5.

• Hands-on experience with exposure monitoring, position limits, hedging policies, and concentration risk management.

• Experience in developing stress tests, scenario analysis, risk dashboards, and management reports.

• Capability to create policies and procedures from scratch in a pre-launch business setting.
