This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Assist in strategic foresight research, encompassing horizon scanning and the identification of signals, trends, and emerging shifts pertinent to client challenges.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive libraries of evidence-based trends and signals, documenting instances with concrete artifacts, screenshots, and source references.
• Execute competitive and global inspiration scans, distilling market and behavioral evolutions into actionable insights.
• Integrate various inputs into cohesive patterns, themes, and near-term foresight that substantiate recommendations with real evidence.
• Convert research findings and synthesis into prioritized opportunities and tactical recommendations that clients can implement.
• Create and produce high-quality visual artifacts—such as trend cards, frameworks, scenario visuals, and journey and summary graphics—that clarify and enhance complex concepts.
• Facilitate lightweight qualitative research activities, including interview preparation, note synthesis, and the identification of quotes and signals.
• Collaborate closely with senior strategists and cross-functional teammates through working sessions and reviews to refine and enhance direction.
• Bring rigor, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to deliver polished, decision-ready outputs.
• A Master’s degree in Strategic Foresight and Innovation or a closely related foresight/futures discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience implementing strategic foresight methods in a professional, research, or consulting environment.
• Strong foresight skills, including horizon scanning, signal and trend analysis, pattern recognition, scenario thinking, and synthesis.
• Previous experience in graphic design, showcasing strong visual craftsmanship and a portfolio of well-designed artifacts.
• Proficiency in design and collaboration tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, and similar, with a readiness to learn new software as necessary.
• Ability to distill complex, ambiguous research into clear narratives and engaging visual communication.
• Experience in gathering, organizing, and interpreting qualitative inputs from diverse sources.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and methodologies to innovate research, thinking, and working approaches.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting ideas with clarity and diplomacy.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, demonstrating an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
