This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Execute thorough forensic investigations regarding structural damage, defects, failures, moisture intrusion, source assessments, premises liability claims, and roofing issues.
• Conduct site inspections and collect pertinent data for forensic evaluations.
• Utilize engineering principles and practices to evaluate and interpret structural challenges.
• Create clear and detailed technical reports that summarize findings and conclusions.
• Offer expert testimony in legal cases as needed.
• Remain updated on industry trends, codes, and standards in structural engineering.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience in forensic engineering is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience providing expert testimony in legal settings is advantageous.
• The ideal candidate will be located in the Missouri or Kansas area.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person due to access to information governed by U.S. ITAR export controls; eligible categories include U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.
• Fully remote work environment.
• Full-time day-shift schedule.
• Travel required up to 25%.
