This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Conduct investigations to determine the cause and origin of failures, damages, or defects in mechanical systems.
• Assess mechanical system failures and evaluate the quality of construction.
• Execute field investigations and document any damaged property.
• Create precise and clear reports for clients that outline opinions and conclusions.
• Foster and maintain relationships with existing clients and consultants.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience in the fields of insurance or legal forensics.
• Possession of an active Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Willingness to engage in expert witness activities.
• Strong verbal and written communication, along with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel and accommodate approximately 30–50% travel requirements.
