This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
β’ Examine the reasons and sources of failures, damages, or defects in mechanical systems.
β’ Evaluate the breakdown of mechanical systems and identify the underlying causes.
β’ Conduct field investigations and document damaged properties.
β’ Investigate failure modes and suggest repair recommendations.
β’ Create detailed and precise reports for clients.
β’ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on significant projects.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
β’ A minimum of 3β5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the fields of insurance or legal forensics.
β’ Valid Professional Engineering (PE) license.
β’ Openness to engage in expert witness activities.
β’ Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
β’ Must be willing to travel 30β50% of the time.
