Forensic Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Examine the reasons and sources of failures, damages, or defects in mechanical systems.

• Evaluate the breakdown of mechanical systems and identify the underlying causes.

• Conduct field investigations and document damaged properties.

• Investigate failure modes and suggest repair recommendations.

• Create detailed and precise reports for clients.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on significant projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the fields of insurance or legal forensics.

• Valid Professional Engineering (PE) license.

• Openness to engage in expert witness activities.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Must be willing to travel 30–50% of the time.
