This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Perform field inspections to ascertain the origin, cause, and extent of electrical failures, including incidents such as fires, explosions, and system malfunctions.

• Create clear, well-supported conclusions and generate thorough technical reports and documentation.

• Deliver timely, professional updates to clients, attorneys, insurers, and internal stakeholders; manage expectations effectively and foster strong relationships.

• Operate independently from a home office while utilizing internal experts and resources; cultivate long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners.

• Lead investigations to completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results that satisfy client expectations and adhere to industry standards.

• Contribute innovative ideas that enhance processes, tools, and customer outcomes; assist others in navigating change and embracing improvements.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in working with or designing electrical systems.

• Forensic engineering experience is highly preferred.

• Experience in investigating electrical failures, fires, or explosions.

• Expert witness experience, including depositions and trial testimony, is preferred.

• Strong technical writing skills; the ability to produce clear, defensible reports is essential.

• Excellent verbal communication and client service skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

• Proficiency with technical tools including computers, cameras, and engineering software.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Florida is required, or eligibility through reciprocity.

• Additional state licenses or the ability to obtain them via reciprocity is preferred.

• CFEI (NAFI), CFI, or related certifications are preferred.

• NCEES Record is preferred.
