This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Strong comprehension of Friction Management and the interaction between rail wheels.
• Familiarity with equipment and consumables used in friction management applications.
• Placement of PIV units for both testing and the rollout of TFM initiatives.
• Conducting data analysis on various factors including fuel consumption, corrugation, CoF, wheel and rail wear, L/V, noise, RCF, and braking performance.
• Planning and overseeing field trials.
• Documentation related to field trials.
• Managing the technical interface with clients as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
• Creation of various documentation, including PPTX presentations, trial plans, analyses, and reports.
• Development of cost-benefit analysis studies.
• Proficiency in public speaking, with the ability to present and communicate technical concepts and findings to customers.
• Capability to evaluate friction management in the field and provide recommendations.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 4-6 years of experience in the field application of Friction Management products or a related field is required.
• Experience in Railroads, Mining, or Heavy Industry is considered an asset.
• Understanding of friction management applications and rail/wheel interactions is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python programming; knowledge of MS Excel VBA is a plus.
• Preferably, railway experience, particularly related to rail-wheel issues.
• At least 2 years of experience in project management and execution of trials is preferred.
