This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct weekly service visits to designated farms; ensure visits occur at least bi-weekly (every 10 days) with additional check-ins as needed.

• Perform extensive, on-site data collection (e.g., feed and water consumption, bird weight, case weights, ammonia readings, etc.).

• Submit production report data in Excel-based formats, including relevant notes and photographs as necessary.

• Coordinate feed ordering from HBF's designated mill, including participation in reports regarding quality failures or managing consumption.

• Review data and feed weekly with Department Leads (Live Operations, Compliance, Feed).

• Plan your visitation schedule weekly using Google Calendar.

• Ensure biosecurity, organic, and pasture-raised compliance at the farms you service, including issuing verbal warnings, drafting non-compliance warning letters, and creating and enforcing follow-up plans.

• Participate in training offerings.

• Provide onboarding support for new producers and ensure barn construction complies with AHA or HFAC standards, as well as organic certification preparations align with expectations.

• Attend new populations, repopulations, and depopulations for hens.

• Conduct on-farm compliance checks (such as audits) as required.

• Perform any additional duties as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience working with poultry (preferably layers).

• Proficiency in Excel, Dropbox, and Gmail.

• Highly organized.

• Ability to manage time effectively; this position encompasses many moving parts and requires minimal supervision, so self-discipline is essential.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and collaborative work style.

• High level of initiative.

• Knowledge of animal welfare standards, biosecurity, and state/federal agriculture/farming regulations and standards.
