This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Create a learning environment that allows students to reach their full potential in intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological development.
• Design and execute an instructional program that aligns with FLVS standards and complies with state regulations.
• Plan, develop, and implement educational activities that foster active student engagement in significant learning experiences.
• Identify, select, create, and adapt instructional materials to cater to the diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs of students.
• Assist in evaluating evolving curricular requirements and propose enhancement plans.
• Maintain effective and efficient record-keeping practices.
• Foster a supportive environment that motivates students to participate in the learning journey.
• Engage in communication with students, parents, and both internal and external professionals within designated timelines.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve the educational atmosphere by engaging in team teaching, meetings, and various committees.
• Exemplify professional and ethical conduct in interactions with students, parents, peers, and community members.
• Ensure that student growth and success are consistent and suitable for their age group, subject area, and program classification.
• Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with students, parents, schools, and colleagues, as measured by FLVS district/school survey results.
• Achieve specific course and school-wide student performance objectives.
• Engage in research and presentations related to online education, including writing articles, leading workshops, and conducting student outreach events.
• Participate in blended learning approaches that integrate both online and classroom instruction.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in the assigned content area OR proof of active enrollment in a state-approved EPI or MAT program AND either a valid Florida state-issued Statement of Eligibility OR a valid Temporary Certificate in the designated content area.
• Endorsements as mandated by the Florida Department of Education.
• Preferred three years of teaching experience.
• Proficient understanding of the Internet and related web technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Proven capability to collaborate on group projects and function effectively as part of a team.
• Must be responsible, accountable, and self-driven.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic aimed at achieving school objectives.
• Exhibit effective prioritization, organization, and time-management skills; capable of meeting demanding deadlines.
• Ability to learn and utilize all required and recommended FLVS computer applications to enhance efficiency and consistency in internal processes and instructional methods.
• Proven ability to successfully uphold FLVS core competencies, values, and expectations for student-focused behaviors.
