Fixed Wire Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct periodic electrical inspections and testing of fixed wire installations and distribution boards.

• Carry out minor remedial works as necessary.

• Generate precise NICEIC reports for quality review by the Technical Manager.

• Collaborate closely with the Technical Manager and Operations team.

• Utilize specialized testing software tailored for efficiency and speed.

• Operate across various sectors including facilities management, retail, commercial, education, and local authority sites.

• Assist in identifying enhancements to testing software and procedures.

• Work from a home base located in Glasgow, North Yorkshire, Sheffield, Bristol, Northampton, or nearby areas.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a recognized electrical qualification, such as C&G 2391 or an equivalent, ideally as a time-served electrician or tester.

• Hold AM2 or NVQ Level 3 certification.

• Have an 18th Edition qualification.

• Demonstrated experience in testing on commercial sites rather than in domestic housing.

• Proven track record of working safely in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

• Commitment to staying updated with current legislation and completing necessary training.

• Capacity to work 40 hours weekly, including occasional out-of-hours or weekend shifts.

• Willingness to travel across regional sites, as assignments may not always be local.
