Fixed Asset Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Supervise the precise monthly local accounting and group reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP requirements while meeting all month-end closing schedules and quarterly/annual reporting deadlines.

• Control the complete lifecycle of tangible assets, which includes acquisitions, depreciation, amortization, disposals, and the upkeep of the fixed asset register, while also managing dilapidation and Asset Retirement Obligations (ARO) provisions.

• Establish, own, and improve regular balance sheet reviews and reconciliations, working in partnership with leadership to oversee, design, and validate effective internal controls for the cluster locations.

• Prepare Statutory Financial Statements, ensure local GAAP compliance, and directly manage internal and external audit processes.

• Direct and oversee operational relationships with third-party outsourced service providers, tax consultants, and public tax services, while facilitating strategic finance transformation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in managing a General Ledger close for a large multinational organization, preferably in a shared service or matrix structure.

• Chartered Accountant qualification (Chartered Accountant [CA], Association of Chartered Certified Accountants [ACCA], Certified Public Accountant [CPA], or local equivalent).

• Profound knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Fixed Asset accounting, and internal control frameworks.

• Excellent presentation and communication abilities in English, possessing the character to command respect, foster cross-functional relationships at all levels, and proactively challenge existing norms.
