This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Financial strategy & leadership: Take charge of AVP’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term modeling to foster growth and enhance partner clinic performance.
• AI & automation: Spearhead the identification, assessment, and implementation of AI-driven tools and automation in areas such as accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, month-end closing, reporting, and forecasting to minimize manual effort and enhance accuracy.
• Process modernization: Collaborate with IT and data teams to embed AI/ML capabilities within finance systems (ERP, FP&A tools) and establish KPIs to evaluate automation ROI and adoption.
• Financial reporting & compliance: Guarantee timely and precise consolidated financial statements and reporting in compliance with GAAP; oversee external audits, tax matters, and regulatory compliance.
• Multi-site consolidation: Supervise financial consolidation and standardization across partner clinic locations, including the chart of accounts, closing processes, and reporting cadence.
• Cash flow & treasury: Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital management, banking relationships, and capital planning.
• M&A support: Assist in due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning for new partner clinic acquisitions.
• Accounts Payable oversight: Manage the AP function across the partner network, ensuring prompt and accurate vendor payments, robust internal controls, and automation of invoice processing and approvals.
• Payroll oversight: Direct the payroll function, ensuring correct, timely, and compliant payroll processing across all partner locations, and promote automation to decrease manual payroll processing time.
• Team leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team — including AP and Payroll staff — while cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and technology adoption.
• Board & stakeholder reporting: Prepare financial reporting and analysis for the CEO, board, and investors, transforming financial data into actionable business insights.
• Risk & controls: Uphold strong internal controls and risk management practices suitable for a multi-entity organization.
• 10+ years of finance leadership experience, including roles at the Senior Controller, Director, or VP level.
• Experience in multi-site healthcare, veterinary, or professional services organizations is strongly preferred; experience in private equity-backed or roll-up/consolidation settings is an advantage.
• Proven track record of leading finance process automation or AI implementation initiatives (e.g., RPA, AI-enabled forecasting, intelligent document processing, ERP AI modules).
• Familiarity with multi-entity financial consolidation, GAAP reporting, and month-end/quarter-end closing processes.
• Experience managing FP&A, accounting, treasury, accounts payable, and payroll functions, alongside team leadership and development.
• Background in supporting M&A due diligence and post-acquisition financial integration.
• Proficiency with modern financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) and knowledge of AI/automation tools utilized in finance operations. NetSuite experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills, with a proven history of effective collaboration with CEOs and boards.
