Fire Stopping Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct inspections of cavities, loft spaces, under-floor voids, ceilings, and enclosed areas.

• Engage with customers in a courteous and approachable manner.

• Utilize knowledge of Rockwool, Hilti, and Quelfire products effectively.

• Employ reporting systems such as Bolster and One Serve.

• Keep precise records of activities and findings.

• Execute passive fire protection surveys with a commitment to quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.

• Provide assistance to fellow members of the compartmentation team.

• Handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and maintain a keen eye for detail.

• Contribute to ensuring safety in residential and occupied properties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in surveying both private and public sector properties.

• Possession of a full UK driving license.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Suite and tablets/PDAs.

• Relevant professional qualifications, such as a Certificate in Applied Fire Risk Assessment, or substantial experience in Fire Safety Management.

• Demonstrated professional and specialized technical skills in Fire Safety Management.

• Comprehensive knowledge of current regulations and best practices.

• In-depth understanding of fire safety legislation and guidance in the social housing sector.

• Familiarity with Approved Document B and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

• Proven experience in delivering passive fire protection surveys with high standards, on schedule, and within budget.

• Essential: Level NVQ2 in Passive Fire Protection.

• Desirable: FIRAS Card Holder at Supervisory or Technician level.

• Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely certification.

• Desirable: PASMA certification.

• Desirable: Emergency First Aid certification.

• Desirable: Asbestos Awareness training.
