Fire Sprinkler Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive designs and layout drawings for fire sprinkler systems utilizing HydraCAD Software.

• Conduct hydraulic calculations and material take-offs in compliance with NFPA standards and local regulations.

• Evaluate architectural, structural, and mechanical plans to ensure effective system integration.

• Generate submittals, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation.

• Work closely with project managers, estimators, and field supervisors to fulfill design objectives and ensure code adherence.

• Guide and mentor junior designers by offering technical support.

• Keep abreast of fire protection codes and standards, including NFPA, IBC, and IFC.

• Engage in project meetings and maintain communication with clients, contractors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5–10 years of experience in the design of fire sprinkler or fire protection systems.

• Expertise in AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks, and/or Revit.

• Thorough understanding of NFPA, FM Global, and other applicable standards.

• NICET Level III or IV certification in Water-Based Systems Layout is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of building and fire codes.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously and manage multiple design projects effectively.
