
Fire Protection Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Execute inspections of fire and safety codes.
• Carry out detailed reviews of plans.
• Generate both written and electronic reports.
• Issue correction notices as necessary.
• Interpret relevant code regulations.
• Address intricate technical issues.
• Uphold outstanding customer service.
• Assist in business development initiatives.
• Oversee assigned projects.
• Travel as needed for inspections.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Architecture, or a related discipline (Preferred).
• A minimum of 5+ years of pertinent experience.
• At least 2 years in plan checking, permit technician, or building inspection roles.
• Background as a firefighter or in a related code enforcement position.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Competence in project management.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 1031 Standards.
• California State Fire Marshal (CSFM) Fire Inspector I Certification (must be obtained within a designated timeframe).
• ICC Fire Inspector I Certification (Preferred).
