Fire Protection Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive designs and layout drawings for fire sprinkler systems utilizing HydraCAD Software.

• Conduct hydraulic calculations and material take-offs in compliance with NFPA standards and local regulations.

• Examine architectural, structural, and mechanical blueprints to ensure effective system coordination.

• Generate submittals, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation.

• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field supervisors to realize design objectives and ensure code adherence.

• Guide junior designers and offer technical support.

• Keep abreast of fire protection codes and standards, including NFPA, IBC, and IFC.

• Engage in project meetings and maintain communication with clients, contractors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5–10 years of experience in fire sprinkler or fire protection design.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks, and/or Revit.

• Extensive knowledge of NFPA, FM Global, and other applicable standards.

• Strong grasp of building and fire safety codes.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously and manage various design projects simultaneously.
