This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Accept tasks from clients for the examination of losses or claims and carry out investigations in accordance with assignment specifications.
• Ascertain the origin and cause of losses or claims, identifying potential third-party liability for subrogation.
• Adhere to necessary client reporting obligations as per EFI protocols.
• Promote and market EFI services within the insurance sector and designated area.
• Serve as a liaison between representatives of the insurance industry and law enforcement/fire service personnel.
• Investigate losses or claims that involve illegal, fraudulent, or subrogation issues.
• Identify and conduct interviews with witnesses and involved parties.
• Review public documents, including land deeds, mortgages, liens, lawsuits, judgments, and marriage and divorce records.
• Stay updated on privacy regulations and the availability of public records to ensure legal and ethical investigations.
• Travel as needed.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Minimum requirement of Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator (CFEI/NAFI-CFEI) certification.
• IAAI Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI-CFI) certification is highly preferred.
• Must secure IAAI-CFI certification within 6 months of becoming eligible to take the certification exam.
• A minimum of three years of experience, or an equivalent blend of education and experience, is necessary.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.

• Ability to push or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
• Capability to drive for up to 4 hours each day.
• Proficient hearing, vision, and verbal communication abilities.
